The questions I get asked the most often start with HOW?

How can I make more money?

How can I fast track my career or business?

How can I do that?

How does that work?

How can I change behaviour?

How can I get belief?

The one thing I do know now after over 15 years of professional and personal development is that the HOW is not the place to focus your attention.

Every article you read about Goal Setting, or any expert you listen to, will tell you that there are three important steps.

WHAT – What (specifically) do you want?

WHY – Why (emotionally) do you want it?
HOW – How do I make it happen?

Whilst listening to an audio recently, the speaker talked about the power of WHYPOWER, not willpower. Of the three steps above, the WHY has been proven, time and time again, to be the most important. The WHYPOWER is what drives you to achieve, no matter whatever is happening to you. It helps you overcome the obstacles that will definitely get in your way. And you will face obstacles. We all do. Those with the strongest WHYPOWER will always push through.

You will always find the HOW, when you have the WHYPOWER. You will do whatever it takes to achieve your goal. If you don’t know the how, your WHYPOWER will drive you to ask others the HOW, to read, listen to podcasts and be a ‘sponge’ to learn the HOW.

So here’s a quick task to find your WHYPOWER.

Write down 10 reasons WHY YOU MUST achieve your goal.

  • To look after my family
  • To feel financially secure
  • To help others
  • To feel proud of my achievements…

Spend the time to find your WHYPOWER and you will become one of the top 5% of people who consistently achieve whatever they want.
