SHINE’ing the Spotlight on… Ann Noler Harris

Ann Noler Harris has achieved so much in her life and she’s had the support of her amazing husband to go along with her crazy ideas along the way. For example they flew to Australia for a 2 week holiday to get their visas stamped and Ann decided to buy land, find a builder, chose the kitchen, interior colours, carpets and tiles etc and then fly back to London whilst it was built. The thing Ann is most proud of is paying off her first mortgage when she was around 23 and then playing the banks at their own game and being able to be mortgage free since she was 36 and living in the house of her dreams.

Ann, tell us about ‘The Body Whisperer’ and how you started working in this area and why?

My childhood dream of emigrating to Australia finally happened. But a couple of months after arriving we went from being very financially secure to potentially losing everything. I felt it was my fault as I had been the one who had wanted to move to Australia, and my husband had left an excellent job in the UK so we could emigrate but it didn’t work out as we planned. This situation was affecting us very badly and I was really worried about my husbands state of mind as he would get terrible tension headaches. I became irritable, angry, agitated, scared, emotional and I couldn’t think straight. We didn’t tell any of our family or friends what was going on, we just kept it between us as we didn’t want to worry them. We hit rock bottom. My next door neighbor who became a friend lent me a book that she said might help and I started to see there was something else to help us and I began to think differently and learn new techniques like the Law of Attraction and this enabled my spiritual journey to begin. Thankfully many things happened to me over the next few months, including us getting out of the financial situation we were in and for someone who was a skeptic I started to take a deeper look into how these new ideas I was learning had actually worked and got us results.

During this journey of learning I met this amazing dog called Ella. Ella was a 6 year old Seeing Eye dog (Seeing Eyes dogs work with blind people so they can still go out and be safe) who had just had her toe amputated due to cancer and she could no longer work. We were told she probably had three weeks to live and as she walked down the driveway towards me, I felt a shift happen in my body and I knew I wasn’t going to let her die. My heart melted.

We were allowed to keep her and I studied a variety of healing modalities and practiced on her whenever she wanted. She was my perfect patient and over the next few months her health started to improve. She had a sparkle in her eye and more energy again. Whilst practicing with Ella my husband had an accident where a piece of corrugated iron roof slid off a chicken coop we were dismantling and went through a vein and artery in the crease of his arm. When we got back from the hospital, where he had had a lot of stiches I asked him if I could practice my healing techniques on him. He was a big skeptic and said to me  do what you like” as he didn’t think it would work. During the session the heat from my hands got intense and he asked me to stop. He told me he could see colours and feel tingling throughout his body. Over the next few weeks I did some more sessions on him and the scar that looked awful became so tiny we could hardly see it. I began to practice on more and more people and I now have the pleasure of working with women all over the world to stop living with physical and emotional pain and no longer be held back from living a life they love

How do you differentiate from others that are in a similar line of business?

I was a skeptic and I keep it real. I am very honest and support my clients in a gentle but guiding way to make the necessary changes in their life so that they get exceptional results. Sometimes I’m the first person to ever tell them the truth.I don’t need to know what my client looks like or be in the same room as them so they feel safe and completely trust me. I work with my clients and their pets as they can pick up on their owners pain and it can cause them pain and expensive vet bills too.

Can you share three tips that people can focus on to improve their health and wellbeing?
I believe any physical pain in the body is caused by an emotional block that needs to be released first so:
1. If you live with physical pain or health issues, find out the emotional block that is causing it first. This can also be unconscious for you and can take a long time to do by yourself.
2. Find someone you trust to support you to get to the root cause.
3. Make the necessary changes in your life and let go of the old beliefs/trauma you have to get long term results

How important is it to have a plan and a direction?

We all need to have a destination of where we are going but I believe in being flexible and not trying to control the outcome too much. I’ve been there and learnt from trying to control everything so now I go with the flow much more and allow opportunities to come.

What do you see as being important traits of a leader?

Being honest and not pretending to be something you’re not. We are all different and lead in different ways and our uniqueness will lead people to connect with us. Being a leader means going first and trying new things and learning from the mistakes so that you can help others.

And what’s next on the agenda for Ann Noler Harris?

I’ve created a program to help women learn how to be Body whisperers and teach them unique skills so that they can get their clients amazing results. As well as this I am teaching them how to grow an abundant business that gives them the work/life balance they desire.
